Tough times do get better!!!

Hello guys,

I hope everyone is great. I've been MIA for over a year now ... So sorry guys. But I'm here to type what is on my mind. Exactly today, 3 years ago my dad went to be with the Lord. Honestly, its been a tough journey with varying stages.

This blog was sort off my therapy, it was something that took my focus thereby reducing my idle and depressed sessions. A lot of things changed about me while I was dealing with the loss, I could no longer smile or laugh willingly, I had to put serious effort to laugh over something very funny, wrinkles started showing up on my face, I withdrew myself from Facebook and wallowed in my own hole. Life was more difficult, the more I tried to reach for something the farther it was from me ..... it was a continuous series of bad events and I couldn't get myself together to make any more effort.

After a long period I finally hit rock-bottom, then I travelled to my home country to be with my family. That was the best decision so far. When I got home, it was hard staying at home without my dad, he wasn't around for me to whip up some delicacy or have little and long talks. Gradually, I started getting used to it. Being surrounded with all six of my siblings, my mum, and family friends staying with us, there was never a dull moment. It was very rare to find me alone thinking and feeling down. Little by little, Over a period of months, my smile and laughter started coming back, and I was coming around to my normal self.

Finally, after a long stay in Nigeria, I returned back to Ireland, and I can tell you now that I smile, Laugh and make little jokes that will keep you laughing for days lol.

I am entirely grateful to God for making it all happen and thankful that my mum and siblings are alive and well, thankful for God's provision and protection. I am very happy that I've come a long way from those dark and gloomy days. I still miss my dad so so much and will always do, I pray to make heaven to see my dad again.

Have a great week ahead!!

Love always,

chevron trend

Hey lovelies,
Hope you guys are good. I'm so looking forward to rocking prints for spring and summer, Hope you guys are as excited as I am. Chevron is the printed pattern with upright and inverted v-shapes. It's a bold and fun pattern , reminds me of geometric shapes. This trend is all over the place, from dresses, tops, skirts to accessories, nail art and home decor. It has taken over fashion and interior decor

I love when its mixed with different colors. If its too bold for you to wear, then opt for phone case, jewelries or nail polish.

Hey lovelies,
Hope you guys are well. This is the first post for my doctor talks. I've been thinking of something fun to write, I don't wanna sound like I'm giving a lecture. So this is a simple way to start off my doctor talks.

Many of us put a lot of work into our outfits, makeup, hair etc, Do we exert the same effort in our health? The saying "you are what you eat" reflects the tight connection between our food habit and our health. However we live and eat will determine what our health will be like years from now. The reality is that to most of us it doesn't matter cos we don't see the effect of our bad habits at the moment. but time they say, tells it all.

  • Eat healthy: this involves eating a well balanced diet with more fruits and vegetables rather than soda and sweets.
  • Hydrate: drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses each day.
  • Exercise: I will say I live a fairly sedentary lifestyle and each year I tell myself I'm going to start exercising but never do, I keep procrastinating. Regular exercise has a great positive effect on our general health. Don't procrastinate like me, start exercising now. I will very soon.... I promise.
  • Positive thinking: This a very important thing in life. We get carried away with all the hustle and stress of life that our attitude gets somewhat affected badly. Try and have a good laugh each day, be it from a comedy show of from people you surround yourself with, and no matter what is going on make sure to have a positive attitude toward life.
  • Stress: this is unavoidable, it happens to all of us. the trick is finding the way to manage it, different ways work for different people so find out what works to reduce your stress.
  • Sleep: this is hard, but we need at least 6 hours of sleep daily.
The greatest wealth is health ...Virgil

God Bless!!!

P.S: Any suggestion on what you would like me to discuss is highly welcomed.

Story of my blog!

Hey lovelies,
Hope you guys are good. After much deliberation I decided to take part in this week IFB project "why did you start blogging?" This is a personal post to me, sit back and enjoy.

I started my blog to find happiness. After my dad went to be with the Lord, I unknowingly lost happiness, I was no longer a happy person. Only extremely funny jokes could make me smile or laugh. I became a bitter person and could barely recognize myself. Some people kept telling me that I look depressed and family and friends said I was always angry.
I became worried for myself because a couple of months has passed since his demise, and I was still falling into a pit that I have no clue how to come out of. I started trying things to help myself out. First, I traveled to another country to visit old friends. I had an awesome time and took a lot of pictures.
After I returned, it took a couple of days for the fun to wane off and I returned back to my bitter self. Looking at the pictures made me feel good, happy and desired to dress up and take pictures of myself. I started taking pictures every Sunday after church and it helped me stay and continue on my recovery path.
Since starting this blog, I've had a couple of unfortunate things happen in my life, but this blog has kept me from falling back into that horrible pit. I appreciate all my lovely readers and everyone that visits and leave a comment. I decided to take part in this IFB project  so that you guys will understand how great the effect you all have in my life.

Hope you guys enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by.
God Bless!!!
